Bombers Finalize Team Rosters

October 16th – The Bombers Basketball Team rosters have been established for the upcoming season and can viewed online by accessing the programs Team Directory. Once you click on a particular roster, you will need “Family Member” access to the website to view the page.  To get Family Member Access to the website you will need to register HERE.  Once you register as a Family Member we will change the security settings on your account and you’ll be able to see all posts tagged for Family Members of Bombers Basketball.

We’re excited about how the teams came together and look forward to a rewarding 2014-15 basketball season.

Going forward we will be referring to each team using the Coach’s last name.  We’ll do our best to maintain a comprehensive Program Calendar that can be viewed HERE, however communication from your particular coach will overrule anything you see on the Calendar. Coaches will be the authoritative voice when it comes to practice times, locations, etc.

Our goal this year is to enhance the skill set of each individual player, helping them to improve their Basketball IQ and general understanding of the process involved to grow as a basketball player on and off the court. Part of learning to be a good basketball player is understanding how their personal skill set fits into the framework of their particular team. At the same time, players will be asked to get out of their comfort zone and challenged to reach skill development milestones that will ultimately prepare them for the opportunity to play basketball at the next level.  (See our Skills Progressions Outline HERE)

At the end of the day, if a player really wants to play basketball at the high school level or beyond, its going to require the player to truly love the process of getting better. Countless hours working by themselves on ball handling, shooting  and conditioning will be required to differentiate their game from other players. For a child to reach that level of dedication and be willing to make the necessary sacrifices, they must first fall in love with the game and the the process of getting better. At every level of Bombers Basketball, this is where we will start. First, we must provide a culture that allows the kids the opportunity to fall in love with basketball.
