Several Bombers Teams vying for spot on Champions Day

Several Bombers Basketball teams having something special to play for over their remaining few games in the CNR Basketball League.  The top four teams in each division are invited to participate on Champions Day, competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards.

The Bombers 4th and 5th Grade girls are in good position to receive an invitation.  The 4th grade team is unbeaten on the season and sits atop the Blue Division standings.  The 5th Grade team has only dropped one contest and with a victory this weekend should be receiving an invite to play in the 1st place game.

On the boys side, the Bombers 3rd grade team currently shares 1st place in the Blue Division, however has three games remaining on their season to determine whether or not they can qualify for Champions Day.

The 4th grade boys team is also in position to play for the 1st place title against a Kirkwood Pioneers team.  The 4th grade boys team finished their CNR schedule 6-2.

The 6th grade – Ashby team has an outside chance of playing their way into Champions Day.  At 7-4 on the season, with 4 games remaining, the Bombers are mathematically alive with two weekends remaining in the CNR regular season.

Good luck to our various Bombers teams as they look to finish their CNR season strong. It’s been a great and very productive year for all of our teams participating in the CNR league.
