Answering the Why, How and What questions

Why the Bombers?

We believe children of all skill levels should be given an opportunity to participate in a long-term development centric athletic program where they can enjoy time with their friends and family while embracing life skills that can be introduced and cultivated through sport.

Wow, that’s a mouth full.

In an environment where select or club teams are popping up everywhere, the Bombers has been established to provide youth athletes and their families the opportunity to truly enjoy their youth sports experience while ensuring the children achieve life balance as they are exposed to various sports and experiences.

So How do we do it?

The Bombers Program features competent coaches and trainers who are invested in the long term development of the kids. Unlike the education system where a student is handed off to another teacher from 2nd grade to 3rd grade, etc., Bombers Coaches will maintain a presence with their teams throughout the maturation process.

“An athlete doesn’t care what you know until they know you care”

We create an environment allowing the youth athlete to fall in love with the process of learning and playing the game.  By taking the kids through a progression of skill and athletic movements, the athletes experience success while constantly being challenged in the appropriate way to encourage ongoing improvement.

As our kids naturally decide where their passion exists, we’re able to intensify the development process to accommodate their desires and goals. Key here is the children will be making the decision on what they want, not the parents.

So What exactly do we offer?

The Bombers Basketball program will feature teams participating in a variety of youth leagues.

  • CNR
  • YMCA
  • CYC

Teams are formed to provide players the appropriate competitive test in practices, skill training sessions and games.

Teams will have varying practice schedules, however the emphasis for all teams will be on long term athletic development.

“Bombers Coaches will not sacrifice skill development or deviate from the
progression for the sake of winning next week’s game”

Learning to win and lose is part of the athletic maturation process. For players that aim to play basketball in high school, our goal is to prepare Bombers Players to be in a position to contribute in a meaningful way to their high school programs.

“Winning is a result of respecting the development process
and committing to something bigger than yourself”
